"Rocampol" is a story collection written by novelist Ponson de Trail, embodying the eternal values between good, evil, justice and injustice. The characters of these stories vary between heroic knights, glamorous girls, criminals, priests and preachers. These stories have achieved great success in France in the nineteenth century, and they are excited stories in the same style "Sherlock Holmes" and "Arsene Lubin", where the readers enjoyed following them strongly and demanded more of them at the end of the series. This novel was skillfully translated by Tanios Abdo into Arabic, and the translation has become the same suspense in the original French text.
As for the novel "The Hidden Heritage", it deals with the issue of friendship and its importance in human life, as it tells the story of Admiral Armenian de Kackaz and his close friend Filippon. The novelist shows how friendship is betrayed due to materialism and greed, as Armenian de Kaccas betray his friend and kill him in order to marry his wife and take over his son's money. But the loyal servant in Sitan discovers the deception and succeeds in restoring the wealth of Ibn Armenian de Kikaz. The story highlights the importance of friendship and that it is the highest forms of human cohesion and brotherhood, and highlights the fact that true friendship is not sold or insulted by material and remains strong even in the face of challenges and difficulties.
