Paris, 1895: chaotic, glamorous, and on the brink of change. One autumn morning, an anarchist boards the Granville-Paris express, intent on making history. Aboard are a devoted railway crew, a boy travelling alone, an artist far from home, a wealthy statesman with his invalid wife, and a young woman hiding a secret. As the train races toward the City of Light, their fates become entwined in ways none could foresee.
