<p>Adrian James is a Senior Lecturer in Criminal Investigation, University of Portsmouth, UK. A detective for most of the 30 years of his police career, he has worked in various Scotland Yard departments, with the Regional Crime Squad, the National Crime Squad, and latterly was engaged in project work with HM Revenue and Customs and the Serious Organised Crime Agency.</p>
