This book presents a multilevel analysis of the Western Sahara conflict on a local, regional and international level. The authors explore Morocco's governance of Western Sahara. The book examines the history of the conflict in the context of regional security and instability, from the role of Algreria and intra-Maghrebi relations, to Saharwi resistance, the refugee camps of Tindouf and the effect of the 'Arab Spring'. The actions of the international community are examined, including the United Nations, United States and the European Union, with particular focus on France and Spain.
