His books include</span><span>Kants Theory of Experience (Kants Theorie der Erfahrung</span><span>) and</span><span>Cohen and Natorp</span><span>. In recognition of his work on the Marburg School of Neokantianism, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Marburg in 2004.</span>
