<p><i>The Capital Years</i> is being published to celebrate the bicentennial anniversary of the opening of the first parliament of Upper Canada.<br><br> Nine scholars have contributed to this book, which explores the daily life of the inhabitants during the time period 1792-1796 when the area served as the capital of Upper Canada. Their knowledge and expertise give the book depth and breadth of scholarship.</p>
