<p>Our book is about lessons learned from decades of war in U.S. history and the consequences brought on by the draft, otherwise known as conscription. The Vietnam War (conflict) was the vehicle that brought to light not only widespread corruption associated with conscription but also our political shortcomings as a country. More importantly it shines a spotlight on abuse of power and the racial divide in the United States during the span of three U.S. presidents -- the Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon administrations.</p>
