Autorenportrait

Diego Cavallotti is associate professor at the University of Cagliari, Italy, where he teaches Post-cinema and Media Education, Theory and Technique of Film Language, and Languages of Television and New Media. He earned his PhD in Audiovisual Studies and Art History at the University of Udine, where, from 2017 to 2019, he worked as post-doc researcher and director of the film section at La Camera Ottica - Film and Video Restoration lab. Moreover, he taught Audiovisual Media Semiotics and Film and Video Preservation at the University of Udine.  Roberta Ferraresi is associate professor of Theatre and Performance Studies at Cagliari University, Italy (Department of Literature, Languages and Cultural heritage - Faculty of Humanities). She teaches Performance Theory and Techniques (BA Cultural heritage and Performance); Theatre Languages (BA Languages and Communication); Theatre History (BA Languages and Cultures for Linguistic Mediation; BA Humanities); Theatre and Performance History (MA Art history). She leads the project Alive - Digital Tools for Research and Teaching in Media and Performing Arts (2024- 25) and is part of several national research projects and groups such as Ormete, Theatre Festivals between local and global (Prin 2023-25), Santarcangelo 50 Festival (2018-21). Marco Lutzu is associate professor of Ethnomusicology at the University of Cagliari, Italy (Department of Literature, Languages and Cultural heritage - Faculty of Humanities), where he teaches Ethnomusicology of Sardinia (BA Cultural heritage and Performance), Popular Music (BA Communication Science) and Audiovisual Ethnomusicology (MA Multimedial Production). He has carried out fieldwork in Sardinia, Cuba, and Equatorial Guinea, focusing on the relationship between music and religion, improvised poetry, hip hop culture, and performance analysis. He is Vice-Chair of the ICTMD Study Group on Audiovisual Ethnomusicology.
