Zusatztext
In volume 5 of his Collected Essays , Martin Heckel focuses on questions pertaining to the history of the constitution and the church in Germany since the schism and to the valid constitutional laws pertaining to culture and education and to the state churches. Here the author emphasizes the interdisciplinary overall view. He attempts to analyze the origins of and changes in the legal forms in the state and the church resulting from their - often antagonistic - causes and circumstances which are of a political, theological and historical nature. In doing so, he also tries to expand the dogmatics of the present law by confronting it with its long legal history and to sever it from a good many ephemeral negative evaluations.
