Zusatztext
In his book, Ulrich Barth studies the various philosophical thoughts on the concept of God, which has two origins. As a concrete concept it is part of lived religion, as an abstract idea it is one of the classic subjects of metaphysics. At the same time, the various versions of the philosophical concepts of God reflect the diverse history of rationality models. It is only in the interaction with discussions of this nature that the reason of religion becomes evident. The author deals mainly with fundamental philosophical questions. He focuses on Plato, Augustine, Kant and German idealism as well as the critical classification of religion and rationality in the modern age.
