Zusatztext
Natural theology is the philosophy of God's essence and existence. Philosophy without theology remains essentially incomplete. This is not just a time-honored commonplace philosophical conviction that can be traced back to Plato, it is also a genuine insight into what philosophy essentially is. Henning Tegtmeyer advocates a renewal of natural theology. His main argument is that questions and problems of natural theology are the unfinished tasks of thinking. The author discusses problems involved in a possible renewal of natural theology, including the theodicy dilemma and above all the relationship between natural theology and doctrinal revealed theology and the philosophy of religion as well as its place in a pluralistic understanding of religion and in an interreligious dialog.
