As an academic subject, theology includes a great number of varying disciplines, each with specific methodologies and reference disciplines outside of theology. What is it that holds this disciplinary diversity together? And what are the interdisciplinary expectations aimed at theology as a whole? This volume documents perspectives of the "theological encyclopedia" from the inside and outside in the form of an expert discussion, held at a conference in Munich in 2019. It reflects this conversation in suggestions and responses.
