Nudging people towards making choices instead of coercing them is a technique already broadly used by the state. Indirect incentives and deterrents are used to steer citizens in a certain direction and reshape their wills. But is the concept of nudging compatible with the idea of autonomy, a guiding principle of the German constitution?
