Zusatztext
This volume presents a longitudinal study examining the impact of increased access to education on women and families in South Asia. Contributors discuss various areas of South Asia, taking a close look at different castes, socioeconomic classes, and religious groups to dissect the role of such factors in the impact of education. The volume reveals education as the basis for remarkable changes and professional development among some and as the basis for disappointments among others in the region.
