Atraumatic restorative treatment (ART) from mid-eighties till today has seen a lot of changes starting from types of restorative material used till its application in dentistry. It is a minimum invasive procedure which aims at maximum conservation of tooth structures using hand instruments only. ART has been found in various research works to have a good survival rate if proper application is done. It is widely accepted by children, anxious and uncooperative patients. The procedure of ART is simple and can be mastered by various oral health professionals.

Dr. Shivani Singh is currently pursuing her MDS degree from Institute of Dental Sciences, MJP Rohilkhand University,Bareilly(U.P),India.She completed her BDS degree from the same university.
