'The Use of Cloud-Services by Small and Medium-Sized Businesses' More and more businesses use cloud-services, i.e. services that provide the cloud-user with IT-resources. This research addresses the question of whether small and medium-sized businesses and law firms based in Germany are allowed to outsource their consumer, employee or client data as part of a software-as-a-service solution to a German, European or US American cloud provider compliant to data protection law.
