'Groundwater and Public International Law' Groundwater is one of the world's most important water resources. Although it is highly susceptible for pollution and overexploitation, its extraction rate is predicted to increase over the next decades. Against this background, this dissertation discusses the contribution of the UN International Law Commission's Draft Articles on the Law of Transboundary Aquifers to the protection of this precious resource.
