'The Criminal Risks of Physicians in the Context of Preimplantation Diagnostics and Prenatal Diagnostics' This thesis focuses on the question of whether physicians performing preimplantation or prenatal diagnostic examinations are exposed to inappropriate risks of criminal liability due to the legal regulations in Germany. In this context, the research compares the legal requirements with other European countries and further examines whether any risks of criminal liability correspond to the already existing average occupational risk of a physician.

Katharina Missio (geb. Ollech) studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Universität Regensburg und der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München mit dem Abschluss der Ersten Juristischen Staatsprüfung. Nach dem Rechtsreferendariat im Oberlandesgerichtsbezirk München mit Stationen u. a. in Sydney, Australien, und Abschluss der Zweiten Juristischen Staatsprüfung absolvierte sie ihre Promotion an der Europa Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). Katharina Ollech arbeitete zunächst in einer Wirtschaftskanzlei als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und ist seit 2015 in München als Rechtsanwältin im Wirtschaftsrecht tätig.
