Volume 55 of the Lustrum series contains a major research piece on Juvenal, the last great representative of Roman verse satire. Walter Kißel, a well-known expert of Roman satire, provides us with a critical evaluation of the complete list of secondary literature published on this subject between 1962 and 2011. His report has two parts: First, he discusses the research literature according to metacategories of Juvenal philology; then, he documents and evaluates previous research on the 16 individual satires of Juvenal.
