<p>Human existence is often treated only theoretically in discussions about sustainability &mdash; as if the individual, with their unique needs and characteristics, plays only a minor role in the implementation of the United Nations&rsquo; Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To generate broad interest in the UN&rsquo;s sustainability agenda among the general population, it is essential to incorporate the needs of the largest social groups into the agenda and enable their participation in achieving the SDGs.
