Zusatztext
A mathematically gifted learner can provide a necessary human capital for development if nurtured well. However, there is inadequate information on measures being taken in secondary schools to meet the needs of gifted learners in mathematics. The study recommends that teachers should use School Based Continuous Professional Development meetings to remind each other on the best practices to enhance the teaching of the mathematically gifted learner in mixed ability classes. It is also recommended that schools should come up with school policies on the teaching of gifted learners just as there is on remedial work for slow learners.
