One of the most famous proverbs known at this time is You are what you eat. Nutrition is one of the most essential needs to leading a healthy life yet our diets may not always reflect our knowledge of what is healthy and what is not. It tries to answer why knowledge doesnt translate directly into actions and it investigates the nutritional knowledge, the attitudes and the practices of female university students. It describes several wrong and risky choices of students exploring various reasons such as socio-demographic factors, cultural background, peer pressure, convenience and preference, in an attempt to correct theses wrong eating habits or at illustrate the impact of these choices on the health of the students now and in the future. Most importantly, the book examines the relationship between nutritional knowledge and dietary behavior and the effect the source of information. It helps identify areas of weakness in students' understanding of healthy eating. The book also provides useful data and offers suggestions on how to improve the nutritional knowledge in universities and how to overcome some of the barriers hindering healthy diet.
