This book is about ethnomedicine used by people of Southern Bengal of India. The knowledge about ethnomedicine is now declining day by day. Though some community spread through the world, due to their belief and enriched knowledge about ethnomedicine, practiced this traditional treatment system. India subcontinent practiced herbal treatment since ancient time of Vedic period. The treatment procedure become changed day by day with rapid Globalization. This book tries to emphasize the traditional treatment system of some selected community lived in Southern Bengal of the India subcontinent.

Dr. Debankana Bandyopadhyay born on 26th november 1990, completed B.Sc.on Anthropology from MDMV with 1st class 2nd rank and M.Sc on Biological Anthropology from West Bengal State University with 1st class 1st tank then completed PhD from University of London and worked as guest researcher in DNA sequencing Lab of Anthropological Survey Of India.
