Zusatztext

Physical and chemical methods of weed control have their own advantages and limitations and misapplication of these methods can lead to increased weeding cost and serious environment risks however, appropriate integration of these techniques can create a synergistic effect to provide effective weed management as well as address the issues of weeding costs and environmental risks. In this context an investigation was conducted to study the effect of various physical and chemical weed control methods in an integrated approach on growth and yield response of direct-seeded upland rice. This book aims to present the methodology and findings of the investigation in a comprehensive way. The contents of the book have been divided into different chapters covering all the aspects of the investigation. The author is hopeful that this book will be of particular help for undergraduate agricultural students as well as a reference for researchers in the field of weed science in developing practical weed management strategies to fight the tenacious weed problem in upland rice.
