This five chapter book concentrated mainly on the strategies of translation lexical choices and rendering pragmatics and aesthetics in translations of Ahmad Shamlu's poetry that were applied by five translators, Ahmad Mohit, Esmail Ranjbaran, Firoozeh Papan-Matin, Saeed Saeedpoor, and Samad Alavi ingeneral, and the frequency of these strategies in particular. The authors at the IAU South Tehran Branch where the idea of this study came into the being, after analyzing 14 poems and specifying the strategies applied by translators in dealing with lexical, pragmatics and aesthetics, the researcher found out that in lexical choices the strategy of literal translation is most used strategies. The next used strategies were poetry into prose translation, blank/free verse translation and interpretation. In pragmatics the strategy of metaphor was the most used strategy.
