The ethical-spiritual ethos of buddhist humanism assets that a man can meaningfully exist only in social relations and that every man can fashion himself to be an Enlightened One. This broader view of Buddhism has proved to be invaluable for all the civilizations of the world. The buddhist humanism is the greatest antidote to the shallow, self destructive and sensate cultural currents in the world today. It's adoption would combat the prevailing, strong, worldwide prejudices against caste, colour, creeds, gender and superiority and inferiority complexes. Further, it would reduce the increasing social, economic and cultural gap between the haves and the have-nots and would enlarge the domains of compassion, liberty and equality for all human beings in the world.
