Klaus-Peter Walter, PhD, studied Slavic studies, philosophy, and Eastern European history in Mainz. Born in 1955 in Michelstadt/Odw. Lives in Bitburg. Since completing his doctorate on Russian-language Jewish drama in the 20th century, he has been a freelance author. He has worked as a literary critic (FAZ, Welt, HR, SWF-SWR), contributed to numerous literary encyclopedias (KNLL, Harenberg, Hiersemann, Corian), and edited the loose-leaf encyclopedia of crime fiction (1993-2015). He has published numerous crime short stories, as well as Holmesiads in print and audiobook formats. He has been temporarily retired since 2020.
