This jubilee volume collects contributions relating to the work of Burkhard Schäffer. Starting from the assumption of a reality constituted by explicit and implicit structures, it deals with questions of analytical observation as well as theoretical and methodological consequences: Social action is always conceived in the relationship between explicit and implicit. This can be formed and expressed in different media such as language, music and image. In order to do justice to this dual structure of the explicit and the implicit, methodological-methodological strategies are needed, as they are thematized in this volume.
