In critical situations, the state can take children into stationary care in order to ensure their protection. However, the spatial separation has a negative effect on the bond between parents and children. The family integration approach therefore involves joint care of parents and children in order to maintain and strengthen families. Parents are supported in becoming successful parents. Using practical examples, the book presents the theory and practice of family integration work.
