A collection «small Tragedies» by A.s. Pushkin includes four works written in the «boldino autumn» period: «the Avaricious Knight» - is a tragedy of a man, whose mind was obscured by the love of money. The tragedy «mozart and Salieri» - describes the envy that forces to commit crimes. In «the Stone Guest» the interpretation of Don Juan's plot is represented. A tragedy «a Feast in Time of Plague» describes the scene from John Wilson's work «the City of Plague».
