The novel "Oblomov" - is the classic novel of the world literature, it is the peak of the creative work by Ivan Goncharov. In its time it was the main social event and it evoke the wave of arguments and discussions and it became the kind of appeal to fight against the stagnation and apathy. Oblomov`s character often was considered to be the "sign of the times» and his name became the common noun, having given the birth to such a notion as "oblomovshchina».
