The photographs by Cologne-based architect and photographer Michael Haus were taken over a period of 20 years in various countries and on different continents. The result is Elusive, an artistic photo book of special moments, seen in a very unique way, in the urban spaces of our world. On his photo journeys, Haus sought out the interplay of architecture, nature and people in fleeting moments of transition, of coincidence and the unexpected, capturing that fraction of a second when something invisible becomes tangible. Creative elements such as light, shadow and reflections unfold their own visual narrative about the globalization of the world in an almost magical way. Michael Haus' photographs are characterized by his love for and curiosity about our world, by the countless dimensions of the ephemeral and its elusive transience.
