The world is an amazing place. How do you choose where to holiday next? In 2002, my plans were inspired by the BBC TV programme Fifty places to see before you die. My husband Richard and I decided to visit all the sites, resulting in this book.

Susan Battersby was born on the 10th of October 1957 in Manchester, England. She achieved her A-Levels at Senior School. She is a professional Finance/Management Accountant. Susan is married to Richard who she met while on holiday in Venezuela in August 2000 and hence her relocation to Sheffield. She and her husband both have a passion for travel and they have travelled around the world together. Since they met in 2000 Susan and Richard have travelled to 108 countries and many other territories, islands and dependencies. They do not have children. Susan loves cooking and reading when she and Richard are not busy travelling or taking cruises to exotic places. "Around the World in Fifty Sites" is Susan's first book.
