Zusatztext
The book is based on a field study. The study was carried out in Kenya. There are gaps on the availability of studies of the specific extension approaches and their effectiveness on the adoption of technologies. The study sought to investigate and document the effectiveness of farmer field school training in promoting adoption of best agricultural practices by smallholder coffee farmers in Kenya. The target population was the smallholder coffee farmers in Kenya. The study revealed that there was a significant relationship between extent of uptake of Best Agricultural Practices and one belonging to Farmer Field School classes. The book will be found particularly useful to agricultural extension providers both in public and private sector, research organizations, policy makers. The book offers valuable information for scholars who wish to do further research in the related field. Further, it could be found useful in formulating agricultural extension strategies and approaches for smallholder farmers.
