The 9/11 incidents in New York in 2001 and Charlie Hebdo shooting in Paris in 2015 have huge impacts upon the relationship between Islam and the West. Thus, concepts such as Islamophobia, fundamentalism and terrorism have risen recently. It is believed that a conspiracy is organized by most of the West major components to distort Islam and Muslims. In fact, literature Is one of the most effective tools. Therefore, this study offers a critical analysis of the relationship between Islam and terrorism if any in two American and French prominent novels: Amy Waldman's The Submission (2011) and Michel Houellepeq' Submission (2015).
