Development of mass media made newspaper one of the major media to get information from all over the world. Nowadays English newspaper is very popular and read all over Albania, Kosovo, and Macedonia as well. However, many people still have difficulty in understanding English newspaper headlines even for those with English proficiency. This is because English newspaper headlines have their own special features and culture backgrounds. This book then will try to focus on the metaphors used as perfect rhetorical devices found in English newspaper headlines and compare them directly to those found in Albanian newspapers. We will try to find out metaphors in full equivalence, the partial equivalence of zero equivalence, which can help us to have a better understanding while reading newspapers. In this book, metaphor is viewed in a broad sense, which is no longer a mere rhetorical device but a mode of thinking.

Dr.sc.Lirie Aliu was born and raised in Gjilan, Kosovo. She was a municipal officer before shifting to teaching and since published a lot of papers regarding ethics in media and democratic development, a creative teacher and living happily with her husband and a son.
