Agriculture is a profession of energetically attachment of nature and environment. Among the different department of Agriculture Agricultural Economics is one of the best discipline for providing better linkage between researchers, farmers and other related stak eholders of agriculture field.The content of book is arranged in chapters to have better comprehension. I feel the book will be greatly accepted by readers and will be helpful for understanding about changes in the land use and cropping pattern, growth rates in area, production and productivity of major crops and to identify infrastructure facilities, factors influencing agricultural production and SWOT analysis in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra. The important policy implications made on the basis of the present investigations are maintaining forest area, expansion and proper use of irrigation facility.

Narendr Kumar Meena, Ph.D. Scholar: He has completed his graduation from Maharana Pratap University of Agricultural and Technology, Udaipur (Rajasthan) in 2013. He did his M.sc in Agricultural Economics at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri (Maharashtra) in 2015.There after he got Senior Research Fellowship from ICAR for his Ph.D.
