Ever since, visions have been fascinating people. This may be because important Christian Saints, for example the Church Fathers, have claimed to have experienced visions and revelatory dreams. Another aspect of this fascination may be related to the fact that, up to now, science has not been able to prove or disprove visions. This book covers an analysis and a comparison of the most important visions of a medieval woman, namely, Margery Kempe and the Lakota Medicine Man, Black Elk. Further, this book discusses the problem of the definition of the terms dream and vision, Macrobius typology of visions, the making of the books of Kempe and Black Elk and it contains a small insight into their lives.
