Zusatztext
This book attempts to make democracy stronger and promote good governance by turning creative writers into politically participatory, justice-oriented and socially responsible citizens. It postulates that the arts and democracy should not only meet at the arena of entertainment, but should also meet at public spaces of information, education and awareness creation. Artistes should not only feature to entertain the audience during electioneering campaigns and political rallies, they should also feature in democratic decision making and problem solving. Creative writing and governance should not only meet at praise singing junction or writing table of biographies of politicians or political leaders, but should also meet at the monitoring and evaluation of the activities of politicians or political leaders for lessons learnt/unlearnt, information sharing and cross fertilization of ideas and concepts.
