Are Domestic Investments in Spain a Source of Economic Growth?

This book investigates the impact of domestic investments on economic growth in Spain over the period 1970 - 2017. The stylized facts and empirical results indicate that domestic investments, thus, are seen as the source of economic growth in Spain. The study concludes that policy makers should pay attention to the relationship between domestic investments, exports, imports and growth. This also highlights the urgent need in formulating policies that enhance the role of exports in stimulating domestic investment and improving trade balance. We strongly suggest that the popularization of this study should be observed with caution. All the results are robust.
