<p><span>Are men and women equal? Have we really progressed as a society? Is equality possible? Are children accorded the status of "human beings" in our society. Are they entitled to basic human rights as adults are? What are the problems faced by women and children in our country? Do women and children get their due rights. Is there something we can do? The Unheard Predicament is a series of reflections on these questions. It is an attempt to find solutions to social and legal problems faced by women and children in our country, in a pre-emptive way by drawing on various disciplines ranging from law to philosophy to sociology, and psychology.</span></p>

<p><span>Aishwarya Chaturvedi is a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Philosophy from Hindu College (University of Delhi) and is currently pursuing L.L.B. at Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law (University of Delhi). Her flair for writing stems right from her childhood days when she would write poetry and articles for her school magazine. She continued working on articles and many of her works found place in prestigious journals. Aishwarya holds keen interest in the subjects of Constitutional Law and Human Rights Law and has, therefore, worked with some eminent jurists of the country to gain experience in the said fields. This book is an effort in her endeavours to spread awareness of social, economic and political issues related to women and children in India along with the basic rights guaranteed to them.</span></p>
