I was shocked and looked at her in disbelief. I felt relieved whenever our exit from Gaza to Egypt and from there to the United States was hindered. I felt ashamed and embarrassed when I was referred to as an American citizen, and that my American passport gave me the opportunity to escape the hell of war on the vast detention camp that Gaza had turned into to safety and security. ..."
